Health and Accident Care for Upper Austrian Employees of Municipalities and Municipal Administrations.
Requirements
Public officials of a municipality (municipal association) of the State of Upper Austria with the exception of cities having their own statutes or contract employees of a municipality (municipal association) of the State of Upper Austria with the exception of cities having their own statutes to the extent the contribution basis exceeds the marginal earnings threshold within the meaning of Sec. 2 no. 2 Allgemeines Sozialversicherungsgesetz [General Social Insurance Act].
Deadlines
After a report by the employer, employees are members of the Health and Accident care for Upper Austrian Municipalities.
Completion period
The employer shall file the registration notice with the Health and Accident Care for Upper Austrian Municipalities upon Commencement of Work.
Competent authority
The municipality (municipal association) being the employer and Health and Accident Care for Upper Austrian Municipalitie.
Procedure
The employers shall register the new employees with the Health and Accident Care for Upper Austrian Municipalities as members of the Health and Accident Care for Upper Austrian Municipalities; as a consequence, they will be covered by the Health and Accident Insurance from such point in time.

Required documents
The employers report the name, the 10-digit social insurance number, the residential address and start of insurance via the platform “ELGA” (= electronic medical record) to the Health and Accident Care for Upper Austrian Municipalities.
Art und Format der Nachweise
The professional qualifications shall be presented to the employer. Claims for benefits against other social insurance societies (e.g.: accident annuities) shall be reported to the Health and Accident Care for Upper Austrian Municipalities.
Costs and fees
Due to the membership in the Health and Accident Care for Upper Austrian Municipalities, employee contributions are payable that also cover the membership in the Health and Accident Care for Upper Austrian Municipalities. For benefits from the health care scheme, a deductible of 10% applies.
